How to Calculate Zakat on Gold
- Weigh all your gold (jewelry, coins, bars) in tolas or grams
- Note the karat of each piece (24K, 22K, 21K, 18K)
- Multiply weight × current market rate per tola × purity factor
- If total pure gold ≥ 7.5 tola, pay 2.5% of the total value

The Nisab for gold is 7.5 tola (87.48 grams) of pure gold. At ~PKR 280,000/tola for 24K gold, Nisab ≈ PKR 2,100,000.
